‘Tweed and tonic’ marijuana drinks could be coming to Canada in 2019, says Canopy Growth CEO

With recreational marijuana becoming legal in Canada sometime this October, marijuana companies and enthusiasts are running wild with creative ideas for using marijuana in different products. Beer, cakes, cookies, what’s next for cananbis? Well, how about some tweed and tonic marijauna drinks?

According to Canopy Growth’s CEO Bruce Linton, this may not be such a wild idea and is in fact in the works for the company’s line of marijuana products this coming 2019. With Canopy Growth getting support from Constellation Brands, a whole slew of marijuana-infused beverages and not just alcoholic drinks may be in line for the future in Canada.

 

The legalization of recreational marijuana in Canada will mean new opportunities for cannabis businesses — and that could include pot-infused beverages, Canopy Growth founder, Chairman and CEO Bruce Linton told CNBC on Wednesday.
